Since the first week of March the sap has been running well. One day last week we filled nearly 10 barrels. This past weekend the sap began running around 10am and stopped about 6:30 each day. We've made about a third of a crop to date. The woods look good. In the sugarhouse things have been mostly problem free. It's hard to tell from the forecast what will happen the rest of this week - a couple of degrees one way or the other and some sun makes a big difference in the amount of sap we collect.
