Maple Facts

The internal pressure of a sugar maple may be as much as 20 pounds per square inch on a warm day after a freezing night – the pressure is triggered by the thermal shock. It is the extent to which this pressure exists that determines how well sap will run.

flip_top_capWe have recently introduced a new cap design on select plastic syrup jugs.  The updated cap features a flip top that opens to reveal an easy-pour spout-perfect for dousing pancakes in maple goodness.  The consumer-friendly spout eliminates those sticky drips common with a standard jug design.  An inner foil disk is securely bonded to the jug using the rapid heat transfer process of induction seal.  The disk provides a leak proof, tamper evident seal guaranteed to preserve the flavor of our native woods.  Easy-pour induction seal cap is available on high volume plastic jug items; please inquire with our sales team about this design.
