University of Rhode Island Researcher, Navindra Seeram has identified 20 bioactive phytochemicals in Canadian maple syrup - several of which are known to have anti-cancer, anti-bacterial and anti-diabetic properties.

Sugaring Update

With the new setup in the sugarhouse running smoothly, we've been able to spend more time in the woods.  To date we've made nearly 2280 gallons of syrup and the sap has been running nearly 24/7.

The Sap Is Boiling!

Boiling got off to a slow start, but yesterday we made 10 drums, about 380 gallons and we should make another 6 drums (200 gallons) today.  Firing up the evaporator for the first time each season is always a bit scary.
